If walls have ears then screens have eyes. If you’re being social, you could be giving your position away to the enemy. Such was the gravity of the message that the Ministry of Defence needed to send to its personnel about cyber-crime. The films were also an opportunity for the MoD to show the world how seriously it was taking cyber-crime.
The MoD employs personnel from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures all over the world. Film has the power to cross boundaries, provoke thought and change behaviour. We produced a series of drama-based viral films that highlighted the risks of sharing information online. We used real-life scenarios and hard-hitting imagery mixed with elements of humour to get the message across. The films were bold as it was the first time the MoD had used film to engage this audience.
